
The Biomarker Research Associate will be a member of a team charged with establishing a suite of biomarker assays to asses target engagement of investigational drugs in early clinical development. Candidates must be highly motivated with previous experience working in a regulated environment following established SOP’s. Successful candidates must be able to work effectively both in a collaborative setting and independently while possessing outstanding written, visual, and oral communications skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Validating and executing established immunoassays for plasma clinical biomarker determinations
- Operating in a GLP-like environment, including adherence to established SOP’s and meticulous documentation
- Developing additional immunoassays using commercial or proprietary antibodies
- Evaluating additional commercially available kits to measure a variety of biomarkers from various species
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
You must have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field
- Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment such as a GLP, GCP or CLIA certified lab
- Experience with validation of clinical biomarker assays
- Experience performing microplate-based immunoassays such as ELISA or Meso Scale
Additional preferred experience includes:
- Experience working with plasma clinical biomarkers
- Plasma sample preparation and biochemical techniques such as precipitation, solid phase extraction and immune precipitation
- Antibody labeling
- Knowledge of mass spectrometry-based biomarker analysis/proteomics
