Three NIH-funded postdoctoral positions in the Angelucci Lab at the University of Utah are immediately available to study visual cortical processing in non-human primate models. The lab (https://www.alessandraangelucci.com) is currently investigating the anatomy and physiology of inter-areal feedback projections, and of inhibitory circuits, in primary visual and early extrastriate cortex. Methods employed include 2-photon imaging, optogenetics, multi-synaptic viral-vector tracing (TRIO), and multi-channel electrophysiology in both acute and behaving primates (macaque and marmosets). The lab is also involved in novel tool development with collaborators in electrical engineering and computer science.
