Postdoctoral Scientist – Hunt Lab

When the work you do every single day has a crucial impact on the lives of others, every effort, every detail, and every second matters. This shared culture of happiness, passion, and dedication pulses through Cedars-Sinai, and it’s just one of the many reasons why we rank as one of the top hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.

Are you ready to be a part of breakthrough research?

As a Postdoctoral Scientist under the direction of Dr. Hunt, participate in a variety of ongoing lab projects requiring electrophysiology data collection and have the opportunity to pursue your own self-initiated research project of a topic related to the lab’s mission. Relevant topics are focused on synaptic physiology and plasticity in the human brain (using live human brain tissue from neurosurgical resections). Alternatively, projects investigating the circuit mechanisms of memory related dynamics in the hippocampus are available using cell-type-specific transgenic rodents proprietary to the lab. Strong organizational and communication skills are critical.
